Meet Our Members

We are proud to work with some of the most brilliant minds in business, science, design, and technology. But while our members have invested their lives in pursuing an education and successful careers, they haven’t neglected the importance of personal growth and evolution as human beings. They come from all walks of life and all parts of the world with varying belief systems and worldviews. 95% of our members cite “travel” as a favorite way to spend their free time and they are looking for partners who consider themselves “global citizens with a curiosity to explore the world together.” Keep reading to learn more about our vibrant and diverse community.

Ambiance Matchmaking works with highly accomplished singles on local, national, and international levels, primarily focusing on specific regions. Within these regions, our matchmakers put more time and energy into building networks of high-quality singles. The United States is our largest network housing our headquarters in San Francisco, California. We have international offices in Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, however, we work with singles across the globe. All members accepted into our matchmaking network of over 10,000 singles go through an in-depth screening process to ensure quality, integrity, and commitment to the process. We focus on quality over quantity, always. Our clientele varies in age, ethnicity, religion, career paths, and life passions, yet they are all dedicated to the same goal: finding a committed relationship. Keep reading to learn more about our client demographics.

Ambiance Matchmaking members are highly educated, with 98% having college degrees and 53% having advanced degrees. Though, some of our most successful clients are college dropouts who went on to create multi-billion dollar companies. A large majority of our clients studied business, economics, computer science, psychology, and law, and studied at some of the best universities in the country such as Harvard and Northwestern University.

Though our clients have diverse backgrounds and work on a variety of different projects, we have seen one outstanding trend: 57% of our members are either Founders or CEOs. They are true leaders with a passion for changing their prospective fields. A majority of our clientele seem to have gravitated toward the technology industry. In fact, a whopping 40% say they work in technology or biotechnology fields.

Reaching an impressive level of academic and career success has only fueled our members' passion to explore other areas of life. Our clients truly believe that work-life balance is key to living a happy and fulfilling existence. During the “lifestyle” part of our interview process, our matchmaking team uncovers passions, creative pursuits, and how our clients enjoy spending their free time. We have noticed some common threads: Our clients are an intellectual bunch who prioritize learning over entertainment, a sporty crowd who believe leading an active life is key to good health, and a cultured group who believe in getting out of their comfort zones and exploring everything this big, beautiful world has to offer!

Sneak-peak into how our members spend their free time:

Match Preferences

Over the last twenty years, we have noticed specific trends in the match parameters of our clientele. Singles are becoming more open-minded and flexible on specific criteria. For example, they are expanding their geographic parameters to include the entire country, and even saying they would relocate to another city for the right person. Another trend we’ve noticed is the higher importance of the inner world of an individual verse their outer appearance. In other words, singles are placing less emphasis on physical appearance, and more importance on (emotional) intelligence, some labeling themselves as “sapiosexual.”

What our members have to say about what they're looking for:

“I’m looking for someone socially adaptable and non-judgmental. Someone who can mingle with different crowds and straddle the lines of high and low brow.”

“I want to meet a genuine, honest, and kind soul.”

“Humor is a sign of high IQ. I’m looking for someone who will make me think and make me laugh.”

“I would love someone to discuss ideas, theories, philosophy, spirituality, anything, and everything! An intellectual and creative thinker who sees life as a long conversation about people and ideas.”

I think the best way to predict your future is to create it yourself, and I want to build it with my partner by my side. In other words, I want a co-creator.”

“I want someone selfless, who wants to give back to the community through volunteering and donating efforts.”
