Tulsa's Best Date Bars
DOWNTOWN
PRAIRIE BREWPUB
The Prairie Brewpub is all about food & locally brewed craft beer. Located in the heart of Tulsa’s Historic Brady District in Downtown Tulsa, this beautiful new brewpub occupies the former home of the Universal Ford Showroom. It took two years of renovation to bring together all the elements that provide a perfect spot to showcase Tulsa’s Brewers Prairie Artisanal Ales. Prairie Artisanal Ales also brews many of their unique brews right there at the brewpub. A full menu is served daily and lunch is an option on the weekends. Plus, don't forget to check out the huge patio!

VALKYRIE
You will love the Valkyrie for its atmosphere, knowledgeable mixologists, and drink varietals. You won't even need to bother reading over the menu – simply tell your bartender what you're craving, and let him surprise your taste buds! Cocktails are in the $10-12 range but well worth it. TIP: Head down the street to Antoinette Baking Co. for a post-drink treat if you're not ready for your date to end!

THE TAVERN
The Tavern is a modern interpretation of the classic neighborhood pub. Chef Ben Alexander’s pub-inspired cuisine represents only the best in local and seasonal ingredients. This laid-back yet refined taproom offers a well-curated list of artisanal beer, world-class wine, and creative cocktails. Great atmosphere for a date night.

HODGES BEND
Hodges Bend transports you back to New Orleans 1940s with a tin ceiling and vinyl collection of jazz. The best part of this place is you can come in for locally sourced roasted coffee in the morning and come back for wine and cocktails in the evening. Try the Necromancer – Absinthe, Creme de Violette, and Bitters – or one of their large punch bowls that serves six.

MIXED CO.
Last night, I heard the best description of Mixed Company when someone said, "It's like Cellar Dweller, but way less sketchy." You walk in and immediately descend into a dark, hip, speakeasy-type venue with many intimate seating options. The lit bar is stunning and there are many detailed features throughout the space that indicate a ton of time and thought went into designing this bar. Really great drinks - hand-crafted cocktails (all the rage right now), interesting beers from around the country, and you can't miss the Peanut Old Fashioned.
Address: 3rd and Denver, steps away from the BOK Center.

BRAMBLE BREAKFAST & BAR
Hope Egan, the owner of the acclaimed Tallgrass Prairie Table restaurant, has added a companion concept next door with The Bramble, a luxurious downtown speakeasy specializing in locally-sourced, hand-crafted cocktails aptly coined “farm-to-bar.” Open Tuesday-Saturday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m.

MCNELLIE'S
If you love a good Irish pub with an extensive beer list, this is your spot. With one of the largest beer menus in the region, they offer a collection of hard-to-find draught and bottled beers from all over the world. Added bonus is the extensive single malt scotch selection.

BROOKSIDE
DOC'S WINE & FOOD
Doc's Wine & Food is one of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and people watch on their front patio overlooking Brookside. While everything on the menu is delicious, Doc's specializes in cajun and creole food and also has the best oysters in town (try them char grilled!). We recommend going for a Sunday brunch and don't forget to order their mimosas (crafted perfectly right).

R BAR & GRILL
A local, mid-town favorite. You walk in as a stranger and leave as a regular — thus the R "Our" Bar moniker. Recognized as having a menu that is diversified enough for a culinary experience, as well as serving the “favorites,” they serve a variety of choices to satisfy all palates. R Bar & Grill features succulent dishes ranging from its famous chicken and waffles to a monstrous pork chop, specialty pizzas, and the best burgers in Tulsa. Or, stop in and try one of their twenty beers on tap!

CHERRY STREET
SMOKE
"The restaurant/bar has an understated swankiness to it. It’s an upscale pub atmosphere that is completely lacking in pretension. SMOKE isn’t just the name on the sign out on the street, it’s a concept that permeates this restaurant from the overall experience to the subtleties and nuances of flavors in each and every dish. The adjacent cigar room and humidor do much to add to the dining and drinking experience as well. The fall/ winter menu did not disappoint with entrée options such as Pickled Brined Fried Quail, Crispy Duck Confit, Lamb Bolognese, and Pork Tenderloin." -Tulsa People

ROOSEVELTS
With 79 tap handles — 70 that will be craft beers and the other nine being wines, ciders, and cocktails — you will not have an easy time making a decision on what to drink at this new gastropub on Cherry Street. The interior features a classic feel and a warm and welcoming interior with lots of wood and metal fixtures. There is a large, partly covered patio that can hold up to 90 people. The entire patio is covered with heavy-duty fan misters that will cool the air by 10 to 15 degrees, just what we need in the hot months of Oklahoma!
